Our story

I was six months postpartum with twin girls when I began sewing. After the bedtime routine and settling, my mind was restless. I needed an outlet to feel connected to more of myself! I watched youtube tutorials, made countless errors on fabrics that I spent way to much on. My first machine was passed down by my grandma, it was such a special gift to me. In more ways than I can count. This creative outlet, spawn into late night early am mornings , doodling and imagining. To then creating and marketing. To full on, industrial machining, streamlining production and collections. It has grown so much over the last 8 years, many of you I have watched your babies grow into toddlers and then little children. To your second, third and even fourth babies. I am so grateful to each and everyone of you who have been on this journey with us!

A+B Co is myself and three littles, often under foot or over my shoulder as I work. My mom has a crucial role in the business, as along side my dad who will often do errands, and get shipping supplies. The fabrics we source are ethical, sustainable, and durable! it is one of the most pressing choices we make, as it is the very thing that will be on your child , other than your arms around them for the majority of the day. So quality is an absolute must. We support other small makers every chance we get. The transfers you see on the makes in the shop are from another small shop in Ontario Canada, our silk labels are from Montreal Quebec, the leather blanket tags are local to us in Calgary, Alberta! Supporting other makers , businesses in this economy is crucial. We do our best every step of the way. We work with some of the best photographers around, who have also captured our clothing and blankets in the most nostalgic and timeless way. As we grow and evolve so does the approach to the business. We will be focusing on smaller collections, less seasonal more everyday and special sets, blankets with curated collections that coordinate with clothing collections. Additionally thoughtfully put together gift sets for Momma’s to be!
